In co-production with Verrerie d\'Alès-en-Cévennes, the production and dissemination Centre of Circus arts, La Maison de l’Eau, hosted the “Los Excéntricos” trio on Saturday 6 December with their new show “Rococó Bananas”.
Why did they choose the name Rococó Bananas? “Because we like it and it doesn’t mean anything”, they say at the beginning of the show!
Very often we tend to find clowns sad when they invent crude devices to try and make children laugh, but in this case everything is designed and calculated so well that spectators, both grown-ups and children, really enjoy themselves.
The text is outrageous, the characters are very well portrayed and they do not overlook the traditional rules of the art of a clown so that everything works perfectly well: the slapstick humour, outlandish costumes, juggling, transformism and, even, ventriloquism …
The very oddest instruments are used to provide the music we hear throughout the whole show. Marceline’s unexpected tumbles are absolutely hilarious, except to Sylvestre of course, who finds them terribly annoying. Zaza’s loud outbursts of laughter provide his own personal touch to the evening.
We highly recommend this show for the whole family.
