Outlandish comedy! An innocent and delightfully crazy trio of clowns. An umbrella that squirts water. A musical floorcloth. A violin -trumpet... Last Saturday night the spanish theatre company Los Excentricos took to the stage at "Théâtre de Vals" with their artillery of bizarre props. Although musicians at heart, Marceline, Sylvestre and Zaza were also great jugglers and magicians to the great delight of the large audience. This show called Música Maestro! which was promoted by Vals les Bains Department of Culture and included in their cultural season, is in keeping with the great circus tradition, while also filled with all the atmosphere of street theatre with gags flowing in time to the merry sound of the accordion , the violin, the banjo and the musical saw. And for all that Marceline, with her multi-coloured and extravagant costumes, insisted on constantly repeating the phrase, "it's better to cry for joy than to die of laughter" the public ended up doing both.
