Bergson said that laughter is necessary. Whether or not that is true, laughing is definitely good for your health, especially when you lose yourself in the wild laughter of children in a clown show. On Sunday 5 December in Palais des Congrès, the winter cold was melted by the warmth emanating from the three clowns in "Los Excentricos". It was truly a sight to see: the three clowns trying to make music with the strangest array of objects. How can someone play music with a pan, a saw, a violin-trumpet and even an "electric mop"? Marceline, Sylvestre and Zaza know how to and, what is more, they do it well like true "maestros". To be honest, Marceline was a bit out of tune when she sang, but she was always radiant in her colourful clothes that go together so well. This trio from Barcelona were surprising, innovative and poetic. They dared to juggle despite their clumsiness and got all worked up at the sound of the accordion, one of the few real instruments in the show. The Palais des Congrès showed that audiences warmly welcome the clown and circus tradition. We recommend taking the whole family and drinking it all in without holding back.
